--WWF Intercontinental Championship, Cage Match: Christian V. Edge. This is under escape/pinfall/submission to win rules. This was one of the first one on one match-ups between Edge & Christian following their breakup. Christian with a SWEET~ Inverted DDT Cradlebreaker. Edge misses a Spear and goes shoulder first into the cage. Christian counters an Implant DDT and sends Edge into the cage with a Catapult getting 2 off of it. Christian brings Edge off the middle-rope with a Backdrop Driver for a 2 count. Edge gets a Spear out of nowhere to knock both guys out. They counter each others patented moves until Edge gets an Edge-O-Matic for a close 2. Christian climbs out over the top of the cage, but Edge reaches through and pulls Christian into the cage bars crotching him. Edge hogties Christian's legs through the cage with his wrist tape and then climbs out of the cage to escape and win the match at 12:48. *** Nice little match, they showed some nice chemistry here, and while there weren't any real near escape moments there were a bunch of close near falls.

--Scotty 2 Hotty V. Hurricane. Hurricane shoves Scotty shoulder first into the ringpost, and then catches Scotty with a Running Neckbreaker for 2. SWEET~ looking Straight Jacket Camel Clutch by Hurricane. Scotty gets 2 off of a Superkick. Hurricane gets a 2 count with a Superkick of his own. Scotty gets the pin at 8:54 with the Worm. **1Ú2 Decent match, but any match that features the Worm as the finisher automatically loses some credibility.

--Diamond Dallas Page V. Big Show. Show gets the pin at 3:16 with a Showstopper. 1Ú4* Pointless match.

--WCW Tag Team Championship, Three Way Elimination Match: A.P.A. V. Hardy Boyz V. Dudley Boyz. APA stands for the Acolytes Protection Agency and it's Bradshaw & Faarooq. Matt gets the pin on Faarooq to eliminate the APA at 5:28 with a Diamond Cutter. D-Von gets the pin on Matt at 12:01 to win the match and eliminate the Hardys after the Dudleys hit him with a 3D. ** Decent enough match, but this was as paint by the numbers of a tag match as you can get.

--William Regal V. Tajiri. Tajiri kills Regal with a Superkick, but Regal pisses me off by popping right up and not bothering to sell it at all. Regal gets the submission with the Regal Stretch at 5:55. * Regal worked his usual dull match and dominated Tajiri at every turn making this nothing but an extended squash match.

--WCW Heavyweight Championship Match: Kurt Angle V. Chris Jericho. Rolling Verticals by Jericho, stopping at three, get a 2 count. Jericho gets 2 with a Crossbody off the top-rope. Jericho escapes an Anklelock and sends Angle shoulder first into the ringpost a couple of times. Shoulderbreaker by Jericho, and he reverses an Angle Sunset Flip attempt into an Inverted Fujiwara Armbar. Angle gets back in control with a Hot Shot. Angle SWEETLY~ blocks a Jericho Double Axehandle off the top-rope and turns it into an Overhead Belly-To-Belly Suplex for 2. Enzuguri by Jericho, and both men are knocked out. Swinging Neckbreaker followed up by a Hurricanrana gets 2 for Jericho. Anklelock by Jericho, but Angle makes the ropes. Rolling Germans by Angle, stopping at three, but he only gets 2. Anklelock by Angle, But Jericho counters out of it and into a Torture Crab Hold. Jericho reverses out of an Angle Slam and gets a Rollup on Angle for the pin at 14:51. ***3Ú4 Real good, and not often talked about match. Jericho looked real strong here, controlling Angle when on the mat, brawling equally with Angle, and outsmarting Angle to get the victory. Selling by both men was a little iffy, and both men were getting gassed near the end of the match.

--Mighty Molly, Stacy Keibler V. Torrie Wilson, Lita. Trish Stratus is the guest referee. Molly is Molly Holly when she was Hurricane's sidekick. Lita gets the pin on Molly at 4:17 after a Diamond Cutter. DUD Molly's involvement brings this match above negative starts, but not by much.

--WWF Heavyweight Championship Match: Rock V. Stone Cold. WWF apparently decided to go with Steve Austin's nickname for his ring name in this match, he's Stone Cold for those that don't know. They brawl to start, then Rock gets a Swinging Neckbreaker and attempts a Rock Bottom, but Stone Cold blocks it and they brawl some more. They fight to the entrance stage where Rock hits a Vertical Suplex on the steel gratings. Extremely surreal moment, Stone Cold crotches himself on the middle-rope, but he no-sells his own crotching, flips off the crowd and nails Rock with a Lariat. They exchange Knifehand Chops on the outside as this match is quickly turning into the 2001 edition of Wahoo McDaniel versus Ric Flair. Stone Cold with a Thesz Press followed up by a Forearm Drop with the requisite flipping of the bird eighty times before he actually executes the move. Rock comes back with a Thesz Press of his own, and a Forearm Drop for a close 2 count. Spinebuster by Stone Cold gets 2. Boston Crab by Stone Cold, but Rock makes it to the ropes. They each hit a Clothesline for a double knockout. Fivearm & Snap Belly-To-Belly Suplex by Rock gets 2. Ref bump and Rock gets a Sharpshooter, but Rock breaks the hold to check on the ref. Rock goes to reapply it, but Stone Cold puts him in a weak looking Sharpshooter of his own. Rock reverses back to his own Sharpshooter, and then Kurt Angle & Chris Jericho come out to interfere in the match. Rock Bottom by Rock, but still no ref. More interference from Angle allows Stone Cold to hit an Ace Crusher for the pin at 22:09. ***3Ú4 This was humming along as a legitimate match of the year contender until all the interference and the four minute long ref bump. Both men play real well off each other and this encounter was no different, it featured great brawling, great mat wrestling, and high emotion.

--Final Flash: This was a real enjoyable event. Except for a block of matches in the middle and the women's tag every match was entertaining & good. Edge/Christian, Angle/Jericho, and Rock/Stone Cold are all good contests that help carry this event past being just enjoyable.

Mildly Recommended

Singles Going Steady

Rock hits a middle-rope Vertical Suplex for 2. Jericho hits a DDT and both men are out. Swinging Neckbreaker by Jericho gets 2. Rock gets a Snap Belly-To-Belly Suplex and follows that up with a Sharpshooter, but Jericho manages to get to the ropes. Spinebuster by Rock, but he misses the Elbowdrop, which allows Jericho to get a real close 2 with a Rock Bottom. They fight outside where Jericho gives the Stroke to Rock through the announce table, and that mildly busts Rock open. Rock gets the pin and the title at 15:05 with a Small Package. ***1Ú2 Started off slow, but really picked up in the middle and finished off with a lot of really good back & forth action.

Angle takes a monster sized bump when Undertaker Backdrop Suplexes him over the railing on the outside.
